About The Position

The Associate, Private Markets Accounting works in complex fund accounting across diverse alternative investments. The role supports private markets operations by preparing calculations, reconciliations, work papers, capital statements, and financial statements, while working with professionals in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Mathematics.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
• Experience with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Problem-solving ability and strong communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• At least 6 months of experience in a relevant internship or other relevant position.

Responsibilities

• Record income and expense items and follow the allocations specified in partnership agreements.
• Prepare capital call and distribution calculations and notices.
• Complete audit confirmation requests.
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly bank reconciliations.
• Prepare quarterly work paper packages, including balance sheet, statement of operations, and trial balance materials.
• Assist with product enhancement projects as requested.
• Prepare carried interest calculations as defined in partnership agreements.
• Prepare and issue quarterly capital statements and financial statements.
