About The Position

Introba is seeking an Associate Principal, Electrical (P.Eng) to join their Calgary Electrical team. This role is responsible for leading the execution of healthcare projects, ranging in scale and complexity. Requirements

  • 10+ years design experience in facility design and construction
  • Experience leading and designing diverse healthcare buildings projects
  • Has led a team or mentored junior/intermediate staff members
  • Experience responding to RFPs and writing Business Cases
  • University degree, college/technology diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PEng)

Nice To Haves

  • LEED® Accredited professional designation or other relevant rating or performance system is desired

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership in all aspects of electrical engineering, including equipment selection and specifications, system design, layout, calculations, and field reviews.
  • Lead the design, engineering, and delivery of projects involving electrical systems for new installations, retrofits, replacements, and upgrades of healthcare projects.
  • Serve as the discipline lead on projects, operating with a high degree of autonomy and technical expertise.
  • Lead and develop the Electrical Team, including mentorship, supervision, training, and performance development.
  • Manage team operations, including workload planning, resource utilization, and forecasting.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, act as the firm representative, and manage key clients, stakeholders, and pursuits.
  • Lead business development efforts including proposal preparation, fee development, and contributing to GO/NO-GO decisions.
  • Monitor team and project performance to support achievement of annual business and financial targets.
  • Ensure quality management practices are implemented and continuously improved, with quality control embedded across all project deliverables.
  • Represent the firm in meetings, presentations, and industry engagements, demonstrating strong communication skills.
  • Work across a diverse range of healthcare project types.
