About The Position

We are looking for a passionate, driven, and energetic Associate Portfolio Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of assigned commercial and/or retail properties, ensuring efficient and profitable operations while maintaining tenant satisfaction and retention. The Associate Portfolio Manager will work closely with the Senior Portfolio Manager to create value and provide an exceptional experience for customers, employees, and communities. This position offers variety and is ideal for someone with strong administrative experience, a background in property management, and ready to take the next step into a beginner managerial role.

Requirements

  • Administrative experience with all aspects of commercial property management.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of property management and of applicable federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations.
  • Ability to competently read and understand financial statements.
  • Knowledge of and skilled in supervisory practices and principles.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years post-secondary education and 3-5 years of related workplace experience or 7 years of equivalent work experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record and automobile insurance.

  • Enrollment in or completion of a recognized property management certificate program such as RPA, FMA or CPM an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Professionally manage the day-to-day operations of all assigned commercial and/or retail properties.
  • Maintain an efficient and profitable operation.
  • Ensure ongoing tenant satisfaction and retention.
  • Develop and prepare property agreements.
  • Effectively lead suppliers, trades people, and subordinates.
  • Identify potential problems and use good judgment to create innovative solutions.
