About The Position

KeyBank is hiring one person at either the Associate Portfolio Management or Analyst, Portfolio Management level on its Leveraged Loans Team. The selected candidate’s job profile and compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and relevant industry expertise. The position is part of Banking Group Portfolio Management (BGPM), which underwrites new loan opportunities and manages loan portfolios across multiple industry and business segments. The role is an individual contributor supporting multimillion-dollar corporate credit requests and complex leveraged transactions, including LBOs, MBOs, go-privates, and recapitalizations. The work supports growth in funded assets and Key’s client base while maintaining asset quality within a moderate risk profile. The Associate supports financial analysis, underwriting, credit monitoring, risk rating, legal-documentation review, and cross-selling of bank products. The role may involve managing a portfolio of corporate clients, with complexity appropriate to experience, and providing guidance to Analysts and third-party staff. The Leveraged Loans Associate also assists with leveraged cash flow (LCF) modeling, transaction underwriting and diligence, annual reviews, and, with experience, ongoing management of an unspecified number of leveraged credit relationships. The Analyst supports the Portfolio Management team with financial analysis and underwriting documents, ongoing credit monitoring and risk rating, and gathering and reviewing legal documentation. The Analyst works independently on assigned tasks but generally under Portfolio Manager supervision, and assists with LCF modeling, diligence, new transactions, and annual reviews. Both levels contribute to the approval and monitoring of new and existing credit exposure, including revolving credit facilities, term loans, leases, foreign exchange and derivatives products, amendments, waivers, and consents. The role works with bankers, relationship managers, syndications, senior Portfolio Managers, and Credit Executives, and may participate in client and management meetings and site visits. The position is based at 127 Public Square in Cleveland, Ohio, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring three or more days per week in the office. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
