The Financial Planner role at Facet is unlike any other in the industry. We’ve stripped away the "old way" of doing business—no cold calling, no commission-chasing, and no mountains of paperwork. We’ve created a role focused entirely on why you became a planner in the first place: to hone your craft and change lives. The Elite "Training Camp": We invest heavily in your personal growth. You will be directly mentored by senior leaders to unlock your full potential, turning this entry-level role into career insurance for the modern workforce. Real-World Muscle Memory: Under the direct wing of a Director, Planning Team Lead, you will clear away the "administrative noise" for members while building the skills needed to guide people from thinking to doing. Focus on Behavior, Not Just Numbers: You will master the "art of the subtext," learning to read unspoken family dynamics and manage member emotional blocks that algorithms can never replicate. As an Associate Financial Planner, you will support approximately 2 senior lead planners. Your time is balanced across three high-impact buckets: Direct Mentorship & Growth (~50% of Time) Directly onboard 2 of your own personal members each week with "live classroom" guidance and real-time support from your Director. Shadow active planning sessions to learn how to explain complex topics in a simple, jargon-free manner. Participate in cross-functional rotations within Member Experience (MX) and Trading & Investment Ops (TIO) to learn the full scope of firm operations. Roadmap Architecture & Strategic Co-Building (~45% of Time) Analyze incoming financial inputs—including data, statements, and tax returns—to independently identify interlocking financial opportunities and tax efficiencies. Own the core decision-making for underlying financial strategies and map structural paths directly into our system. Translate big-picture goals into bite-sized, tactical action items and next steps for members. Proactive Member Care & Continuity Coordination (~5% of Time) Act as the primary point of contact for members when lead planners are out of office, ensuring a continuous, warm relationship. Review inbound messages and utilize our human-at-heart framework to address urgent questions or calm financial anxieties.
