About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker to join its National Branch in Grangeville, Idaho. In this frontline role, the banker builds customer relationships through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. The banker learns customers’ goals and connects them with suitable banking products, services, and digital tools, supporting them in managing their finances. The role supports account openings, service requests, and credit applications while collaborating with branch teammates to provide a consistent, high-quality customer experience. Success depends on relationship-building, sound judgment, and balancing customer service with growth. The role involves cash handling and teller-line activities, accurate transaction processing, and compliance with operational standards and risk controls. The position also provides a foundation for career growth and mobility, supported by Wells Fargo training and coaching. The work schedule includes Saturdays, and the role flexes between cash handling and customer banking activities, with a focus on account openings and ongoing account support. SAFE registration is required at employment; Wells Fargo initiates the process after the employee’s start date. Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background. A credit report may be reviewed, excluding the credit score, and additional ongoing screening may apply. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process after the start date.
Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and comply with Wells Fargo policies, including standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background.
Ability to follow policies and regulations, exercise sound judgment, and identify and escalate risk concerns.

Prior experience in financial services or a highly regulated, customer-facing role, demonstrating comfort with structured processes, accuracy, and service expectations.
Experience building trust-based customer relationships through active listening, follow-up, and consistent engagement.
Comfort initiating outreach through calls, emails, or other channels to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities to support customer needs.
Comfort with digital tools and technology, ability to learn new systems quickly, and confidence guiding customers in adopting capabilities that enhance their banking experience.

Responsibilities

Identify opportunities, promote solutions, and make appropriate referrals to support customer and business goals.
Support everyday banking needs, including new account openings, service requests, and credit applications.
Perform cash handling and teller-line activities, processing transactions accurately and maintaining compliance and operational standards.
Use and adopt digital tools and technologies to enhance the customer experience and support evolving banking needs.
Deliver accurate, compliant service while exercising sound judgment within defined risk controls.
Collaborate with branch teammates to coordinate handoffs to licensed bankers or other specialists and connect customers with appropriate expertise.
Flex between cash handling and customer banking activities, including account openings and ongoing account support.
Work a schedule that includes Saturdays.
