About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) for its National Branch. This frontline role builds customer relationships through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. The banker learns about customers’ goals and connects them with relevant banking products, services, and digital tools, while supporting account openings, service requests, and credit applications. The role works closely with branch teammates to provide a consistent, high-quality customer experience and balances customer service with business growth. The position supports everyday banking and branch operations, including cash handling and teller-line transactions. It requires accurate, compliant service, sound judgment within defined risk controls, and comfort adopting digital tools. Training and coaching are provided to support career growth and mobility. The work schedule includes Saturdays, and employees may flex between cash handling and customer banking activities. SAFE registration is required at employment; Wells Fargo initiates the process after the employee’s start date. Loan originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo standards concerning financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background. A credit report may be reviewed, excluding the credit score, and additional ongoing screening may apply. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. The posting lists branch locations in Antioch, Pittsburg, Pleasant Hill, Concord, Walnut Creek, and Brentwood, California, though positions may not be available at every listed location. The base pay range is $23.00–$31.00. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities. Wells Fargo provides eligible employees with a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.
SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process after the start date.
Loan originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo policies concerning financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background.

Handle cash and perform teller-line activities, processing transactions accurately and maintaining compliance and operational standards.
Use and adopt digital tools and technologies to enhance customer experience and support changing banking needs.
Deliver accurate, compliant service and exercise sound judgment within defined risk controls.
Collaborate with branch teammates and coordinate handoffs to licensed bankers or other specialists so customers reach the appropriate expertise.
Support branch operations by flexing between cash handling and customer banking activities, with an emphasis on account openings and ongoing account support.
Follow applicable policies and regulations, fulfill risk and compliance obligations, and escalate and remediate issues appropriately.
