About The Position

Wells Fargo is hiring an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) for its National Branch in Brentwood, Los Angeles. This frontline role builds customer relationships through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. The banker learns about customers’ financial goals and connects them with relevant banking products, services, and digital tools. The role supports account openings, service requests, credit applications, cash handling, and teller line activities. It requires accurate, compliant service, sound judgment within defined risk controls, and collaboration with branch teammates to connect customers with licensed bankers or other specialists when needed. Wells Fargo provides training and coaching to support career growth. SAFE registration is required at employment, and Wells Fargo initiates the registration process after the employee’s start date. The schedule includes Saturdays. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.
SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process after the start date.
Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and comply with Wells Fargo policies concerning financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background.

Prior experience in financial services or a highly regulated, customer-facing role, with comfort handling structured processes, accuracy, and service expectations.
Experience building trust-based customer relationships through active listening, follow-up, and consistent engagement.
Comfort initiating outreach by phone, email, or other channels to strengthen relationships and identify ways to support customer needs.
Comfort using digital tools and technology, ability to learn new systems quickly, and confidence guiding customers in adopting helpful capabilities.

Responsibilities

Identify opportunities, promote solutions, and make appropriate referrals to support branch growth and customer and business goals.
Support everyday banking needs, including new account openings, service requests, and credit applications.
Handle cash and perform teller line activities, accurately processing transactions while maintaining compliance and operational standards.
Use and adopt digital tools and technologies to enhance the customer experience.
Deliver accurate, compliant service and exercise sound judgment within defined risk controls.
Coordinate with branch teammates to provide seamless handoffs to licensed bankers or other specialists.
Flex between cash handling and customer banking activities, supporting account openings and ongoing account needs.
Follow applicable risk and compliance policies, identify and escalate concerns, and fulfill related obligations.
