About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) to join its National Branch in Fort Bragg, California. In this frontline role, you will build relationships with customers through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. You will learn about customers’ goals and connect them with banking products, services, and digital tools that help them manage their finances. You will support account openings, service requests, and credit applications while working with branch teammates to deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience. The role combines relationship building, customer service, growth opportunities, and sound judgment within defined risk controls. Wells Fargo provides training and coaching to support career growth and mobility. The schedule includes Saturdays. You will flex between cash handling and customer banking activities, with an emphasis on service through account openings and ongoing account support. SAFE registration is required at employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process after your start date. Loan Originator requirements and ongoing screening may apply. Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.
SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process after the start date.
Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and comply with Wells Fargo policies, including standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in financial services or a highly regulated, customer-facing role, demonstrating comfort with structured processes, accuracy, and service expectations.
Experience building trust-based customer relationships through active listening, follow-up, and consistent engagement.
Comfort initiating outreach by calls, emails, or other channels to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities to support customer needs.
Comfort with digital tools and technology, the ability to learn new systems quickly, and the ability to guide customers in adopting useful capabilities.

Perform cash handling and teller-line activities, accurately processing transactions while maintaining compliance and operational standards.
Use and adopt digital tools and technologies to enhance the customer experience and support evolving banking needs.
Deliver accurate, compliant service while exercising sound judgment within defined risk controls.
Collaborate with branch teammates to coordinate handoffs to licensed bankers or other specialists.
Follow applicable policies and procedures and fulfill risk and compliance obligations, including escalating and remediating issues as appropriate.
