About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) to join its National Branch. This frontline role builds customer relationships through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. The banker learns about customers’ goals and connects them with relevant banking products, services, and digital tools to help them manage their finances. The role supports account openings, service requests, and credit applications while collaborating with branch teammates to provide a consistent, high-quality customer experience. It requires relationship-building, sound judgment, and balancing customer service with business growth. Wells Fargo provides training and coaching to support long-term career growth and mobility. The position is based at 156 Juan Tabo NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87123, and requires a schedule that includes Saturdays. SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo initiates the process after the start date. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.
SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process after the start date.
Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and comply with Wells Fargo policies, including standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background. A credit report may be reviewed, excluding credit score, and additional ongoing screening may apply.

Responsibilities

Build lasting customer relationships through proactive, meaningful conversations that support financial well-being and deepen engagement.
Lead discovery-driven conversations to understand customer needs and connect them with relevant banking products, services, and solutions.
Identify opportunities, promote solutions, and make appropriate referrals to support customer and business goals.
Support everyday banking needs, including opening new accounts, handling service requests, and assisting with credit applications.
Handle cash and perform teller-line activities, processing transactions accurately while maintaining compliance and operational standards.
Use and adopt digital tools and technologies to enhance the customer experience and support evolving banking needs.
Deliver accurate, compliant service and exercise sound judgment within defined risk controls.
Collaborate with branch teammates to coordinate handoffs to licensed bankers or other specialists.
Flex between cash handling and customer banking activities, with an emphasis on account openings and ongoing account support.
Follow applicable risk and compliance programs, policies, and procedures, and escalate and remediate issues appropriately.
