About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) to join its National Branch at the Brazos Town Center location. In this frontline role, you will build customer relationships and support everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. You will learn about customers’ goals and connect them with relevant banking products, services, and digital tools to help them manage their finances. You will support account openings, service requests, and credit applications, and work with branch teammates to provide a consistent, high-quality customer experience. Success requires strong relationship-building skills, sound judgment, and the ability to balance customer service with business growth. Wells Fargo provides training and coaching to support career development and mobility. The schedule will include Saturdays. You will flex between cash handling and customer banking activities, with an emphasis on service through account openings and ongoing account support. SAFE registration is required at employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process after your start date. Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo policies regarding financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background. A credit report may be reviewed, excluding the credit score, and additional ongoing screening may apply. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent experience demonstrated through work, training, military experience, or education.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.
SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process after the start date.
Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background.
Ability to comply with applicable policies, regulations, and risk controls.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in financial services or a highly regulated, customer-facing role, with comfort following structured processes and accuracy and service expectations.
Experience building trust-based customer relationships through active listening, follow-up, and consistent engagement.
Comfort initiating outreach by calls, emails, or other channels to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities to support customer needs.
Comfort with digital tools and technology, ability to learn new systems quickly, and confidence guiding customers in adopting relevant capabilities.

Responsibilities

Lead discovery-driven conversations to understand customer needs and connect them with relevant banking products, services, and solutions.
Identify opportunities, promote solutions, and make appropriate referrals to meet customer and business goals.
Support everyday banking needs, including new account openings, service requests, and credit applications.
Handle cash and perform teller-line activities, processing transactions accurately and maintaining compliance and operational standards.
Use and adopt digital tools and technologies to enhance the customer experience and support evolving banking needs.
Deliver accurate, compliant service while exercising sound judgment within defined risk controls.
Collaborate with branch teammates to coordinate handoffs to licensed bankers or other specialists.
Flex between cash handling and customer banking activities, supporting account openings and ongoing account needs.
Follow applicable risk and compliance programs, policies, and procedures; identify, escalate, and remediate issues appropriately.
