About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) to join its National Branch. This frontline role builds customer relationships by supporting everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. The banker learns about customers’ goals and connects them with relevant banking products, services, and digital tools to help them manage their finances. The role supports account openings, service requests, and credit applications while partnering with branch teammates to deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience. Success depends on relationship building, sound judgment, and balancing customer service with growth. The position offers a foundation for career growth and mobility through Wells Fargo training and coaching. The position is based at 7107 N Navarro St, Victoria, TX 77904. The schedule includes Saturdays, and the employee will flex between cash handling and customer banking activities, with an emphasis on account openings and ongoing account support. SAFE registration is required at employment; Wells Fargo initiates the process after the start date. Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background. A credit report may be reviewed, excluding the credit score, and additional ongoing screening may apply. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.
SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process after the start date.
Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo policies and standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background.
Must comply with applicable risk, compliance, and company policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in financial services or a highly regulated, customer-facing role, with comfort in structured processes, accuracy, and service expectations.

Responsibilities

Lead discovery-driven conversations to understand customer needs and connect them with relevant banking products, services, and solutions.
Identify opportunities, promote solutions, and make appropriate referrals to support customer and business goals.
Support everyday banking needs, including new account openings, service requests, and credit applications.
Perform cash handling and teller line activities, accurately processing transactions while maintaining compliance and operational standards.
Use and adopt digital tools and technologies to enhance the customer experience and support evolving banking needs.
Deliver accurate, compliant service while exercising sound judgment within defined risk controls.
Collaborate with branch teammates to coordinate handoffs to licensed bankers or other specialists.
Flex between cash handling and customer banking activities, including account openings and ongoing account support.
Follow applicable policies and procedures, fulfill risk and compliance obligations, and escalate and remediate issues appropriately.
