About The Position

Assists in performing a variety of registration, insurance verification, scheduling and duties in support of inpatient and outpatient access to medical services. This role involves 7.5-hour shifts from 8 am to 4 pm, with work required every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday).

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-1 years of relevant experience, required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in performing pre-registration and registration duties.
• Obtains necessary demographic and insurance information and enters data into computer system.
• Obtains appropriate signatures on medical, legal and financial forms.
• Aids in verification of patient insurance coverage and other related data with third party carriers for scheduled appointments/procedures.
• Aids in obtaining patient’s insurance authorization required for services.
• Documents authorization approvals and denials in computer systems.
• Collects money due from patient at time of service.
• May perform billing, receivable and related functions.
• Performs related duties as required.
