About The Position
An independent Doctor of Optometry affiliated with LensCrafters is seeking an Associate Optometrist. The associate works within the practice of a LensCrafters subleasing optometrist as an employee or contracted doctor. Luxottica operates the optical dispensary, while the affiliated doctor operates the doctor's office and provides optometric care and services to patients. Terms of agreement, practice model, pay, and hours are negotiated directly between the associate and the subleasing doctor. The role offers professional autonomy and a full scope of practice based on the associate's professional discretion and agreement with the subleasing doctor, without company-imposed restrictions or quotas. Scheduling may be flexible, including part-time commitments or additional work alongside an existing practice schedule. Offices are furnished and equipped for optometric care, with many using Clarifye digital eye examination technology; most offer Daytona Optomap Digital Retinal Imaging and technical and pre-testing support. Offices also use an automated online appointment book and patient recall system.
