About The Position

The Eye Center of Clark in Clark, New Jersey is seeking an Associate Optometrist to join its team for an urgent opportunity with a desired start date between November and early December. This role offers the chance to become part of a well-established, community-focused practice that values high-quality patient care, collaboration, and a medically oriented approach to optometry. The Eye Center of Clark is a well-established practice with a long-standing presence in the community. Purchased in 2024 from a previous owner who served patients for 35 years, the practice continues to build on a strong foundation of trusted, relationship-based care while bringing a refreshed focus to medical optometry. With an emphasis on dry eye, ocular disease management, and comprehensive family eye care, the practice offers an opportunity to work in a setting where clinical quality, patient education, and personalized service are central to the experience. Requirements

Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited institution.
Optometry license in New Jersey.
Strong communication skills.
Commitment to excellent customer service.
Ability to collaborate effectively with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.

Nice To Haves

Previous clinical experience is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with medical coding and electronic records management is a plus.
Passion for delivering high-quality care in both medical and family practice settings.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive eye examinations for patients of all ages.
Prescribe glasses and contact lenses.
Diagnose and manage ocular disease.
Educate patients on proper eye care practices and optical products.
Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
Use the practice’s diagnostic technology, including autorefractor, NCT, Optos, Zeiss OCT, and Humphrey Visual Field, to help deliver safe, thorough, and patient-centered care in a friendly, professional environment.
