About The Position
An Independent Doctor of Optometry affiliated with LensCrafters seeks an Associate Optometrist to work within the practice of a LensCrafters Subleasing Optometrist, as an employee or contracted doctor. Luxottica operates the optical dispensary, while the affiliated doctor operates the doctor’s office and provides optometric care and services to patients. The terms of the agreement, practice model, pay, and hours are negotiated directly between the associate and the Subleasing Doctor. The role offers professional autonomy and a full scope of practice, subject to the associate’s professional discretion and agreement with the Subleasing Doctor. Scheduling may be flexible, including part-time commitments or additional work alongside an existing practice schedule. The office is fully furnished and equipped; many offices use Clarifye digital eye examination technology, and most offer the Daytona Optomap Digital Retinal Imaging System, full technical and pre-testing support, and an automated online appointment book and patient recall system. This posting is for an existing vacancy. Pay is determined by factors including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements. Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality optometric care and service to patients.
- Operate the doctor’s office within the affiliated LensCrafters practice.
- Practice across the full scope of optometry, guided by professional discretion and the agreement with the Subleasing Doctor.
