About The Position

This role involves determining design approaches and parameters, performing system analysis to assess design feasibility within time and cost constraints, and utilizing modeling tools and equipment for data establishment, experimental testing, and result evaluation. The engineer will select components and equipment based on specifications and reliability analysis, conduct simulations, and present design reviews. Additionally, responsibilities include writing scripts to control synthesis and build tools, and designing, analyzing, modifying, testing, and evaluating optical communications systems, subsystem-level components, and RF Photonic systems and subsystem-level components.

Requirements

  • Pursuing Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science Engineering or related field or have completed their Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and/or experience with VHDL, MCM, HFSS, Network, Power, Analog, Antennas, Controls, ENE, RF, Photonics, Modem, EDA, DSP, MATLAB, Communication Systems, FPGA, Aerospace industry or Optical Engineering
  • Knowledge of Code V and/or Zemax software tools
  • Knowledge of FRED, Matlab, Python
  • Knowledge of and/or understanding circuit analysis and operational concepts
  • Familiarity with various computing environments (LINUX/Windows)
