About The Position

The Portfolio Management Group (PMG) spans active systematic and discretionary investment strategies across liquid asset classes. PMG partners across the firm to help deliver long-term outcomes for clients while navigating evolving market, policy and geopolitical environments. The Associate will play an important role in supporting the Deputy Head of PMG across a broad range of strategic, market and organizational initiatives related to macroeconomic trends, geopolitics and investing. The role will focus on research, coordination and executive support across markets, geopolitics and investments, while partnering closely with teams across PMG and the broader firm. This role will provide exposure to senior leadership and contribute to executive-level preparation, strategic projects and cross-functional initiatives across the investment platform. The role is well-suited for a highly organized, intellectually curious professional who can operate effectively across a complex, fast-paced organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree with a strong record of academic achievement and 2-5 years of professional experience.
  • Strong interest in financial markets, geopolitics, public policy and macroeconomic developments.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information into concise materials for senior audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across teams and navigate a large, matrixed organization.
  • Intellectual curiosity, sound judgment and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • A strong work ethic, high attention to detail and a high degree of professional integrity.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in government, public policy, strategy, research or related environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare executive-level presentations, briefing materials and talking points for internal and external engagements.
  • Conduct research and analysis on markets, macroeconomic developments, geopolitics and public policy themes impacting portfolios and clients.
  • Partner across investment teams and firm functions to help drive coordination, execution and follow-through on key strategic priorities.
  • Help manage incoming requests, prepare briefing memos and support day-to-day operational and strategic efforts across the leadership team.
