About The Position

This role involves providing person-centred nursing care and case management while supporting the coordination of safe and effective patient discharge planning. The Associate Nurse Unit Manager will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager and multidisciplinary teams to assist with service coordination, patient flow, practice improvement, and day-to-day operational activities to support positive patient outcomes. Additionally, the role includes providing leadership, guidance, and clinical support to less experienced staff, and contributing to education, quality improvement, and continuity of care across the service.

Requirements

Registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with a current practising certificate.
Minimum 3 years post-registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.
Strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Demonstrated competence in nursing practice.
Experience supporting students and less experienced staff.
