About The Position
The Associate Merchant supports category management by assisting with supplier negotiations, purchase order administration, and item setup for stores and online channels. This role collaborates cross-functionally to ensure accurate product content, supports promotional activities, and leverages data analysis to inform category performance and forecasting. The Associate Merchant contributes to customer-focused strategies by understanding buying behaviors and executing communication programs. This position requires strong project management and business analysis skills to drive operational excellence and support merchandising initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
Requirements

- Strong skills in data analysis and sales analysis to inform category strategy and decision-making.
- Business analysis capabilities to identify opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Effective communication and project management skills to collaborate with merchants, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage product assortment and item setup processes ensuring accuracy and alignment with business needs.
- Competence in budgeting, forecasting, and tracking financial performance against targets.
- 2 years’ experience in merchandising, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area.

Responsibilities
- Analyze sales data and support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for assigned categories.
- Provide recommendations on item setup, pricing, and assortment to optimize inventory and customer experience.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to drive business solutions and continuous improvement.
- Support merchants in supplier negotiations and manage purchase orders for assigned categories.
- Assist in resolving supplier issues and facilitate the setup of new suppliers for stores and online channels.
- Execute customer communication and education programs, ensuring accurate product page content and search query management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement category features, modular layouts, and promotional strategies.
