About The Position

The Associate Merchandiser for Footwear works within the Global Apparel Merchandising team. At its core, the position supports assortment planning, product line maintenance, and data-driven decision-making to deliver compelling collections that align with brand values and consumer insights. The Associate Merchandiser reports directly to the Manager of Merchandising, Men's Sport Footwear, Global Merchandising. Support seasonal product strategy by assisting in analyzing global business insights to create briefs, seasonal line plan architecture and inform business decisions. Help maintain product line plans and contribute to creating assortments that meet regional and global market needs. Work closely with design through the design process, partner with development for product creation, monitor progress, ensure meeting milestones and calendar deadlines. Support costing and margin analysis in partnership with design and product development. Compile and analyze product performance data to provide insights for in-season adjustments future planning and hind sighting. Partner with regional merchandisers to truly understand business needs and evolving strategies Ensure data accuracy by assisting in maintaining line plans, managing product attributes and ensuring consistency across the assortment. Support in building category specific strategies, opportunities and initiatives. Assist in building presentations and have a presence at global line reviews.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Strong attention to detail to maintain precise and accurate management of product attributes, ensuring consistency and quality across the product range
  • Utilize advanced analytics tools and software such as excel, to interpret complex data and trends
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and trends.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in merchandising software (PLM) and Powerpoint.
  • Passion for the Vans brand and a general understanding of the men’s footwear market.
