About The Position

Managed Funds Association (MFA) is seeking an Associate, Membership Services to support the Association’s membership strategy. This role involves managing existing member relationships, engaging with service providers, maintaining the membership database, and supporting various membership events, programming, and projects. MFA represents the global alternative asset management industry, advocating on behalf of its members and convening stakeholders to address industry issues. Member firms support institutional investors by diversifying investments, managing risk, and generating returns.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience delivering top client service to internal and external parties.
  • Ability to contribute data-driven insight into member development activities, working fluently with CRM across the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented culture that values the importance of being a good teammate, communicator, and partner.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-start, think ahead, problem solve, and engage proactively with high professionalism, reliability, and accountability.
  • Highly organized
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Occasional domestic and international business travel is required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with internal departments to assist in the execution of programs, events, and member interactions to elevate member value, enhance brand awareness, and advance the Association's mission.
  • Support and execute the programming, deployment, and follow-ups of member events including forums, meetings, round tables, receptions, and roadshows.
  • Support and execute membership workstreams and related projects.
  • Assist in the execution of membership origination and retention plans, including marketing campaigns, to support the Association's growth.
  • Support prospect tracking for members and report ongoing pipeline updates.
  • Support the client coverage model to ensure effective client service.
  • Identify opportunities to increase engagement with members and prospects through interactions and online research.
  • Support the management of the membership inbox.
  • Support the membership onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Produce ad hoc and recurring reporting and metrics related to membership.
  • Assist in developing and refining the design of metrics and analytics tools, working with Business Systems colleagues to produce key performance indicators.
  • Utilize AI tools to enhance processes and improve efficiency in producing metrics and meeting preparation/follow-up materials.
  • Support the transition of the AMS system.
  • Synthesize market and industry outlets and alternative databases and newsletters for pertinent information related to members, prospects, and investors.
  • Support the development of customized marketing materials for prospective members in collaboration with the Communications team.
  • Produce member and prospect materials for leadership to support meetings, emails, or interactions.
  • Apply and refine best practices and processes to develop and implement innovative strategies to meet established annual team goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
