The Associate Medical Director is responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality participant care, ensuring strong clinical outcomes, and assisting in the implementation and oversight of the Quality Assessment and Improvement Program. The Associate Medical Director provides day-to-day clinical leadership for Primary Care Providers (PCPs) and direct oversight of assigned Nurse Practitioners (NPs). This role includes utilization of evidence-based leadership strategies which include clinic and team interaction observation, data review, monthly rounding, clinical documentation review, assessment review, and annual evaluations for NPs. The Associate Medical Director is responsible for monitoring NP clinical performance, including polypharmacy, hospital utilization, infections, and falls with fractures. The Associate Medical Director also manages the PCP call schedule and maintains a high-risk participant panel for direct clinical care. Position reports directly to the STLC Medical Director.
