The Associate Medical Director will assist the Medical Director in providing clinical leadership in medical services and input regarding the type, level of intensity, and quality of care for detox, residential, and day treatment patients within the Hazelden Betty Ford Continuum. This role involves consulting with staff on medical and psychiatric care, developing and implementing clinical policies, and assessing, diagnosing, and treating medical and substance use disorders. The position also requires collaboration with treatment teams, educating patients and staff, and meeting organizational productivity requirements. The Associate Medical Director will support the Medical Director in ensuring provider adherence to addiction medicine guidelines, managing quality assurance and performance improvement projects, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies. While this position does not have direct reports, it may assist with temporary staff supervision. The role also involves conflict resolution, contributing to strategic initiatives, managing treatment and recovery needs of specific patient populations, and supporting resource utilization and cost-effective care delivery.
