Associate Medical Director Emergency Department
About The Position
Centra Health seeks a dynamic and engaged physician leader to serve as the Associate Medical Director of Emergency Medicine, supporting the clinical and operational leadership of emergency services. This role works in close partnership with the Medical Director of Emergency Medicine and provides day-to-day oversight of operations, staffing, and Advanced Practice Professional (APP) leadership across multiple sites. The Associate Medical Director plays a key role in ensuring consistent, high-quality, and patient-centered care delivery, with a strong emphasis on operational execution, provider engagement, and workforce management. This position supports emergency department performance by overseeing scheduling, optimizing staffing models, and collaborating with the APP Lead to maintain a cohesive, high-functioning care team. Working closely with the Medical Director, hospital leadership, nursing, and administrative partners, the Associate Medical Director helps drive efficient patient flow, enhance access to care, and address operational challenges.
