Associate Medical Assistants/MA-Rs are new graduate MAs with less than 6 months of professional experience. As an Associate MA, you’ll be welcomed into the clinical setting with mentorship and guidance to propel your career. As a Medical Assistant, you’ll help with administrative and clinical tasks like scheduling appointments, updating information in EPIC and taking patients’ vital signs at appointments. After 6 months of successful employment and competency testing, Associate Medical Assistants are promoted to Level-2 Medical Assistants and provided with additional responsibilities. The Associate Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing basic patient care to assigned patients. Basic patient care needs will be met though both administrative and clinical duties. An Associate MA-R is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. Requirements

  • Washington Medical Assistant Registration (within 60 days of hire)
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association (within 30 days of hire)

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework/Training in Medical Assistant, Medical Office Assistant, Medical Secretary or Health Unit Coordinator/Clerk
  • 6 months Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting

Responsibilities
