About The Position

This role provides mechanical engineering support for new product development and factory support of existing products. The Associate, Mechanical Engineering will translate product requirements into mechanical specifications and test plans, execute verification testing, and conduct design analysis and testing (structural and thermal) to ensure designs meet customer requirements. This position is also responsible for understanding customer needs, generating and executing test procedures, and generating or processing engineering change orders (ECOs). The role involves working directly with mechanical designers on CAD models and part documentation.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Materials Science Engineering or related field.
  • Or have completed their Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mechanical engineering support for new product development activities and factory support of existing products.
  • Translate product requirements into a mechanical specification and test plan.
  • Execute verification testing as defined by the mechanical specification and test plan.
  • Conduct design analysis and testing, both structural and thermal, to prove design will meet customer requirements.
  • Understand customer needs, generate test procedures, and execute the test.
  • Generate and/or process engineering change orders (ECO’s) as required.
  • Work directly with mechanical designers on CAD models and part documentation.
