About The Position

ENERCON's Data Center Mission Critical (DCMC) Group provides client-centric engineering design services specializing in enterprise, co-location, and hyper-scale data centers. They offer flexible, scalable solutions focused on energy efficiency and operational reliability. Services include pre- and post-construction design engineering, site evaluations, and infrastructure optimization. The group emphasizes transparent collaboration throughout all project phases, covering electrical, mechanical, structural, and civil engineering, commissioning, acceptance testing, and construction management. This role is for a new graduate Mechanical Engineer who will join a collaborative, forward-thinking team shaping the future of power generation. The engineer will work on real projects, designing and evaluating systems for critical facilities, including those in the nuclear sector. They will gain hands-on experience, learn from industry experts, and develop technical and professional skills in a supportive environment. Opportunities include visiting client sites, contributing to cross-disciplinary solutions, and taking ownership of work to see the direct impact of contributions.

Requirements

  • Graduated with a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an ABET- accredited school in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Available to start on an agreed upon date between January 2026 and July 2027.
  • A solid working foundation with your major’s core concepts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
  • Ability to effectively problem solve.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders at client sites.
  • Must be able to effectively navigate client sites to conduct walkdowns.
  • Must be able to work outside.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for client and company projects and/or meetings.
  • Completion of pre interview assessments.
  • College transcript submitted for anyone under 1 year of experience post-graduation.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client-specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks according to company and client policies.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.
