Serve as a team member within the Clinical Care Engineering group providing technical support to develop new medical devices and improve existing products. Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 0-4 years of relevant product development experience
  • Experience with 3D solid modeling (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Ability to read, understand and produce engineering drawings
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Familiar with basic machining and fabrication principles
  • Familiar with injection molding and plastic part assembly process and methods
  • Experience with all levels of procedures and activities associated with new medical product development
  • Experience with development of medical devices in accordance with applicable ISO or FDA regulatory requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Finite Element Analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain design history documentation in accordance with established new product development procedures.
  • Construct functional mechanical/electrical prototype systems throughout the design process.
  • Assist with qualification test activities to ensure that products comply with technical specifications and requirements. Generate test protocols and document test results.
  • Coordinate with external resources and suppliers for component and subsystem sourcing.
  • Interact with internal cross-functional departments to complete project related activities.
  • Participate in project and technical design reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control policies and applicable regulatory standards.
