Research, plan, and design mechanical and electromechanical products and systems and direct and coordinate activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems by performing the following duties. This role involves performing calculations, conducting finite element structural analysis, evaluating field installations, and researching customer design requirements. The engineer will create detailed designs for manufacturing, review drawing packages, and design products to meet safety and certification requirements. Additionally, the role includes evaluating project requirements, performing testing for structural, thermal, and vibration aspects, creating bills of materials, and coordinating assembly and testing activities. The engineer will also work closely with production and evaluate customer test requirements. For existing products, responsibilities include maintenance and improvements related to reliability, cost, and manufacturability, assigning GD&T dimensional tolerance, and communicating product specifications. Documenting and communicating technical results is also a key part of the role.
