Associate Mechanical Design Engineer

United Integrated Services•Phoenix, AZ

About The Position

The Associate Mechanical Design Engineer designs, develops, and implements HVAC mechanical systems within the MEP discipline for advanced semiconductor construction projects. The position produces mechanical schematics, equipment schedules and layouts, duct and pipe layouts, and related design documentation. It supports project execution by ensuring designs comply with applicable codes, standards, customer requirements, and safety regulations, while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams from design through construction and project completion. The engineer performs system calculations and equipment selection, uses design software to create drawings and 3D models, and assists with design reviews, procurement, construction support, inspections, and troubleshooting. The role requires project-site travel as needed, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in physically demanding, active job-site environments. UIS describes its work as building advanced semiconductor manufacturing facilities and offers a collaborative environment alongside engineering, construction, project management, safety, procurement, and operations professionals.
