About The Position

Following written instructions, this role assembles a variety of components to produce sub-assemblies or finished products that meet specific print requirements. The position involves operating production equipment, reading basic blueprints and mechanical assembly drawings, and performing measurement tasks with devices like calipers and micrometers. Adherence to cGMP manufacturing requirements, including accurate documentation, and all safety rules and regulations is essential. The role requires the ability to assemble devices with small parts, print labels, and package products or sub-assemblies. The Associate Mechanical Assembler must be willing and able to work all scheduled overtime, meet established production rates, and demonstrate good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity. Continuous rotation through various manufacturing processes and performing tasks in a cell/team environment is expected. Communication with other shifts regarding the status of parts, equipment, and other relevant matters is also a key responsibility. Final pack duties may be assigned, and the role involves sustaining 5S standards and participating in continuous improvement activities. Other duties and special projects may be assigned. A basic understanding of computers is required.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to stand for up to eight hours per day, ability to move about, bends, stoops, uses hands and lift up to 35 pounds unassisted.
  • Unaided visual acuity or corrected visual acuity should be at least 20/40 in each eye at infinity (20 feet) with the ability to distinguish colors.
  • Basic English speaking/comprehension/reading-ability required.
  • Must have basic understanding of computers.

  • 0-1 years’ experience, preferably in a mechanical assembly operation.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles a variety of components to produce sub-assemblies or finished products that meet specific print requirements.
  • Operates production equipment that are already set up and with a defined process.
  • Reads basic blueprints and mechanical assembly drawings.
  • Performs measurement tasks utilizing measurement devices such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
  • Follows all cGMP manufacturing requirements including accurately completing all necessary documentation associated with production.
  • Observes all safety rules and regulations including the wearing of protective equipment when required.
  • Assembles devices containing small parts.
  • Prints labels and packages a variety of products or sub-assemblies following established procedures.
  • Works at established production rates, demonstrates good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Continually rotates through a variety of manufacturing processes, performing all types of tasks in a cell/team environment.
  • Communicates with the other shifts, the status of parts, equipment, and any other matters that might have an impact on their job.
  • May perform final pack duties as assigned/required.
  • Sustains and maintains 5S standards and all continuous improvement activities.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
