About The Position

Samba is a media intelligence company that provides real-time, large-scale data on what the world is watching, reading, and thinking across all screens. Their data, gathered with consent from over a billion people, offers a comprehensive view of consumer attention, used by major brands for smarter decision-making. Samba is building the future of cross-channel media measurement and is seeking an Associate Measurement Partner to join their AI-forward team. This role involves using billions of signals from smart TVs, data partners, and the open web to connect media consumption with online and real-world actions, helping leading brands with content and media planning, audience activation, and measurement. The Measurement Science organization at Samba is a service-oriented group focused on adding value to customers through Samba's data, measurement, and insights. It is structured into four verticals: Measurement Partners, Insights, Strategic Initiatives, and Technical Measurement Operations. The Associate Measurement Partner will collaborate across Measurement Science and other departments, reporting to the Senior Manager, Measurement Science. This position offers a chance to impact the future of media analytics by delivering client insights and recommendations to optimize campaign strategies. With 2-3 years of experience, the role is crucial in translating complex data into actionable stories for global publishers and advertising platform partners, with opportunities to develop expertise in presenting measurement insights, understanding the publisher and platform advertising ecosystem, and contributing to industry benchmarking and trend forecasting.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of work experience in a client-facing role with a strong focus on presenting insights, data analysis, or strategic consulting within market research, advertising, media, or related fields
  • High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong aptitude for analyzing information and distilling complex data into concise, compelling, and actionable insights for non-technical audiences
  • Natural storyteller with strong verbal and written communication skills, comfortable and confident in presenting findings to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Curious and keen to understand the "why" behind the data, identifying patterns and insights across different publishers and studies to inform client strategy
  • High level of accuracy and organization in work, managing multiple client deliverables simultaneously
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, or a related area of study
  • 2-3 years of experience in project management / research or measurement analyst role
  • Comfort with client-facing functions including day-to-day communications, educational sessions, and presentations
  • Strong communication skills, obsessively organized, meticulously detail-oriented
  • Knowledgeable in or strong desire to learn how to leverage AI tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and workflows
  • Experience in adtech and/or media, marketing, or measurement analytics
  • Experience independently managing full project lifecycle, from kick-off to presentation

  • Technical skills/fluency in SQL, Python, Databricks or BigQuery a plus
  • Advanced degree a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of Samba TV’s ad effectiveness studies, transforming raw data into clear, actionable insights that directly inform client media planning and strategy
  • Act as a key point of contact for major publishers and advertising platforms, supporting 3-5 accounts
  • Develop, deliver and present compelling reports / analyses that articulate the value of Samba’s measurement suite, focusing on strategic implications of campaign results
  • Own the creation and presentation of regular reports on key advertising metrics (including Box Office, Tune In, Reach & Frequency), ensuring they provide clear, impactful takeaways for clients
  • Work with internal Data Analysts and Product teams, serving as the client's voice to ensure data output aligns with client objectives and timelines, and to raise feedback for methodology and process improvements
  • Support the sales organization by crafting strong positioning stories and developing presentation materials that highlight the unique value of our audience media and measurement opportunities
  • Maintain and grow client relationships through proactive communication, addressing queries, and ensuring client satisfaction with our deliverables
