About The Position

This role is for a Material Handler Associate Level 1 in the Shipping Department at the Brimley Distribution Centre. The shift is from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. The associate will work with a diverse group of operations associates focused on different shipping functions and connect regularly with internal customers in the Outbound Processing and Planning Departments. The ideal candidate will have warehousing knowledge, be capable of pallet and trailer loading, be well-organized, proficient with number-based sortation systems, and able to work collaboratively. Computer/tech skills and knowledge of portable RF systems are also required.

  • Attention to detail and execution of skillset

Responsibilities

  • Use appropriate tools such as knives, tape, and pump trucks.
  • Properly construct and secure corrugate boxes to protect customer goods.
  • Focus on a daily process determined by customer demand.
  • Perform carton-based curation of loads for unique, changing customers.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure 100% accuracy of all orders being loaded onto trailers.
  • Understand how each customer's requirements are met, including unique pallet heights and wrapping techniques.
  • Organize pallets and meet timely demands for quick turnaround.
  • Make fast-paced, quick decisions throughout the day.
