About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Vertical Lift Division is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Planner to join their Production Engineering team in Mesa, AZ. This team provides direct support for the Apache assembly and other military, space, and commercial aircraft throughout the Mesa site, including AH-64 Apache Final Assembly, Production Flight Test, and Depot Repair and Overhaul, as well as their Metallic, Electrical, and Composite Centers of Excellence.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ working in or supporting a manufacturing environment
  • 1+ years’ working with manufacturing engineering planning systems such as MESci and/or GOLD
  • This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Prior knowledge of general fabrication, assembly, installation and/or electrical fabrication level planning.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, and maintains various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions, and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration.
  • Assists with the development and integration of suppliers, processes, materials, data, and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.
  • Assists in reviewing supplier data to ensure manufacturing-related requirements are met.
  • Identifies tooling requirements and initiates tooling orders based on manufacturing and engineering requirements.
  • Assists with tooling dispositions.
  • Investigates and resolves manufacturing-related issues of limited scope.
  • Assists with producibility assessments for part or product designs.
  • Assists in providing input to design, manufacturing processes, and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules.
  • Develops work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments.
  • Assists in the review, maintenance, and monitoring of internal documents.
  • Works under general supervision.
