About The Position

This role is part of Alcon’s Manufacturing function, which designs, produces, and delivers eyecare products worldwide. The Associate, Manufacturing Operations Specialist assists with production activities and supports schedules, quality standards, maintenance efficiency, continuous improvement, and workplace safety. The role is onsite in Fort Worth, Texas, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Travel requirements are 0–10%.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of directly related experience; alternatively, high school education plus 9 years of experience, an associate degree plus 5 years of experience, or an M.S.
Fluency in reading, writing, understanding, and communicating in English.
1 year of relevant experience.
6 months of demonstrated leadership.

Responsibilities

Assist in leading production activities—including assembly, material forming or shaping, processing, treating, and packaging—to meet specifications, schedules, volume, cost, waste, and quality targets.
Communicate with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply & Logistics, Sales, and other departments to develop production schedules and allocate labor and capital resources.
Assist in planning, prioritizing, and managing production-line maintenance efficiency and downtime to minimize disruptions.
Lead or participate in quality investigations and deliver continuous improvement, including investigative and technical writing.
Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance products, services, efficiency, and cost using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
Help assure a safe work environment.
