Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written), work and relate with people at all levels of the organization

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
  • Experience with RCCA
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment which emphasizes handling multiple priorities
  • MRP/ERP experience
  • Experience in Teamcenter
  • AutoCAD/3D CAD experience

Responsibilities

  • Designs and modifies cell or assembly lines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
  • Write manufacturing plans and instructions in accordance with engineering specifications, quality requirements, safety needs, and security requirements.
  • Generate Bills of Material (BOMs).
  • Participate in tooling reviews and provide evaluation and feedback of tool designs.
  • Plans the sequence of operations and develops specification procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
  • Investigates function test failures and provides short-term and long-term corrective actions
  • Leads cross-functional teams through the implementation process for engineering changes
  • Identifies opportunities or implements changes, on a need basis, to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials, and parts to optimize productivity and ensure optimal use of resources.
  • Designs and develops manufacturing processes for products.
  • Develops procedures for the economical mass production in cooperation with pilot-plant and production departments.
