About The Position

The Associate Manager of Material Management oversees the effective processing, storage, and distribution of various goods, including raw materials, components, and finished products, aligning with customer contract stipulations and management's sales projections. This pivotal role ensures timely, cost-effective delivery of products to their intended destinations. The position collaborates with interdisciplinary teams within operations and programs, including quality, manufacturing, and engineering. The manager will lead the logistics team, enhance operational efficiency, and uphold safety and handling standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years prior relevant experience.
Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Proven work experience as a warehouse manager.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including freight, shipping and receiving, returns and transfers.
Develop and maintain detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company, in coordination with the internal procurement team.
Streamline shipping and transportation processes through the strategic management of logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services.
Direct, optimize, and coordinate full order cycle; liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers.
Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency.
Manage work-in-progress (WIP) throughout production to guarantee on-time deliveries.
Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes, and process shipments.
Resolve any problems arising or complaints related to warehouse or shipping.
Supervise, coach, and train the warehouse workforce.
Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements.
Analyze data to monitor performance and plan improvements and demand.
Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
Ensure that all relevant procedures and processes meet current legislation and company standards.
