AlterraDenver, CO
$80,000 - $112,000Hybrid

About The Position

The Associate Manager, Marketing Technology Platforms owns all Hightouch reverse ETL operations and the Audience Hub, and is responsible for building and maintaining the model library that powers audience activation across all downstream paid media platforms, InsiderOne, and CRM systems. This role ensures that audiences are accurate, fresh, governed, and syncing on schedule, serving as the technical backbone that connects the data warehouse to every activation channel. This is a highly collaborative and hands-on role that works at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and marketing activation. The Associate Manager partners cross-functionally with Data Engineering, Paid Media, and CRM to build and operate the pipelines, tags, and sync destinations that power real-time personalization and audience activation.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or marketing data roles.
  • Strong SQL skills; experience working with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift).
  • Understanding of paid media audience mechanics: customer match, custom audiences, lookalike creation, and match-rate optimization.
  • Familiarity with a variety of MarTech solution APIs (e.g., Adobe AEP audience publishing and Segment API).
  • Experience building and deploying client- and server-side tags via tag management systems (Adobe Data Collection/Launch, Google Tag Manager).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner across both technical and marketing teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required (marketing, business, business analytics, communications, economics).

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on Hightouch experience strongly preferred; equivalently, experience with other reverse ETL platforms (e.g., Census).
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), XDM schema design, and Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics 4.
  • Familiarity with dbt or similar data transformation/modeling frameworks.
  • Understanding of digital privacy and compliance standards, including GDPR, CCPA/CPA, CAN-SPAM, and TCPA.
  • Experience within a subscription, seasonal, retail, travel, or hospitality business.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the Hightouch model library: acquisition, retention, suppression, lookalike seeds, and lifecycle audiences, using SQL against the data warehouse (Snowflake) and Adobe Experience Platform (AEP).
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering to ensure warehouse models are optimized for Hightouch consumption.
  • Build and deploy client- and server-side tags to enable robust analytics and paid media activation (Adobe Data Collection, Google Tag Manager).
  • Ensure all behavioral events are correctly mapped to XDM schema payloads and validated before production deployment.
  • Configure client-side and server-side event forwarding for privacy-preserving data collection.
  • Audit data collection quality: monitor for missing events, schema formatting errors, duplicate events, and sampling issues in Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics 4.
  • Support the Manager, Marketing Technology Platforms on web event decisioning configuration for real-time web personalization.
  • Configure and monitor all Hightouch sync destinations: Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, The Trade Desk, InsiderOne, and CRM.
  • Establish sync health monitoring, alerting, and SLAs for all audience pipelines.
  • Support Paid Media and CRM teams in troubleshooting audience discrepancies between Hightouch and platform destinations.
  • Maintain documentation and governance standards for the audience model library, including naming conventions, data lineage, and access controls.
  • Partner with Legal/Privacy to ensure audience activation and data collection comply with applicable privacy regulations.
