About The Position

The Associate Manager, Displays & Merchandising, plays a critical role in shaping the in-store shopper experience by leading the development and execution of innovative merchandising solutions across Newell Brands’ portfolio. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Shopper Marketing/Display Management, this role partners cross-functionally to deliver impactful display strategies that drive sales, enhance brand visibility, and optimize retail execution. This position owns end-to-end display development—from concept through in-store execution—while managing internal stakeholders and external supplier partners to deliver best-in-class merchandising solutions on time and within budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in CPG, shopper marketing, merchandising, display development, packaging, or project management
  • Strong understanding of retail environments, merchandising best practices, and shopper behavior
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the org chart as well as different disciplines/departments
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams
  • Strategic mindset with a balance of creative problem-solving and operational execution
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Self-starter with a growth mindset and a passion for continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development and execution of both national and retailer-specific display programs that enhance shopper engagement and drive category growth across key retail partners
  • Collaborates with Brand, Customer Planning and Sales to develop merchandising displays for both existing products and new innovation items
  • Manages third-party display supplier to create enhanced, disruptive displays that drive top line sales, profit, and gross margin while conscientiously managing display expense
  • Lead cross-functional alignment across Brand Marketing, Sales, Customer Planning, Finance, and Operations to deliver integrated merchandising programs
  • Own end-to-end project management of display initiatives, including timelines, deliverables, and execution milestones
  • Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between internal teams and external suppliers to ensure seamless execution
  • Manage and develop relationships with external display suppliers to deliver high-quality, cost-effective merchandising solutions
  • Oversee the full production lifecycle, including design, prototyping, manufacturing, and fulfillment
  • Troubleshoot production and execution challenges in partnership with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure displays are executed at retail as intended, meeting brand and customer expectations
  • Works collaboratively with 3rd party display supplier to articulate display needs while conscientiously managing display costs
  • Supports the completion of proper P&L for effective display cost evaluation
  • Works collaboratively with Operations/Sourcing to identify and develop merchandising productivity initiatives
