About The Position

This is an associate level role focused on producing parts that meet requirements using a variety of manual and/or automated equipment through established procedures. Responsibilities may include operating various manual and CNC machines that are already set up and the process is clearly defined. The role requires following written and verbal instructions, reading basic blueprints or mechanical drawings after instruction, and recognizing machining or manufacturing problems to produce defect-free parts. Accurate measurement tasks utilizing devices such as calipers and micrometers are also part of the role, as is learning and performing preventative maintenance on tools, equipment, and machines.

Requirements

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to read basic blueprints or mechanical drawings.
• Ability to use shop math.
• Ability to operate various types of production machines.
• Ability to produce parts at the rate established for a particular operation.
• Ability to accurately use basic machine shop measuring devices.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with basic metrology (calipers, micrometers) preferred.
• Basic blueprint reading experience preferred.
