About The Position

We are searching for an experienced Full-time Associate (Load Crew) at 324 Woodland Hills. The Associate reports to the Store Manager and performs management-assigned duties, which may include receiving inventory, stocking and maintaining a store section, operating a cash register, carry-out services, and store cleaning. Specific duties include maintaining a store section, ordering, receiving, and stocking merchandise, ensuring proper pricing and rotation of products, setting up promotional displays, reviewing invoices, and cleaning interior and exterior areas of the store and parking lot. The role also involves operating a cash register, processing transactions and refunds, verifying customer eligibility for alcohol sales, assisting customers with purchases, and performing basic bookkeeping. Candidates should be able to interact effectively with the public and co-workers, understand instructions and product information, and apply common sense to carry out tasks. The job requires the ability to lift and move significant weight.

Requirements

Ability to read and write English
Ability to interact with general public and co-workers
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
One to three (1-3) years related experience
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds

Responsibilities

Maintain a store section as assigned
Order, receive, and stock merchandise using proper equipment
Ensure proper pricing and rotation of products
Stock shelves, end displays, floor stacks, displays, and refrigerated/frozen cases
Prepare perishable products for sale
Set up advertising/promotional displays
Review invoices/bills for accuracy
Clean and maintain sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas of store and parking lot
Operate a cash register, receive payment, and make change or process transactions
Process cash and/or credit refunds when approved by management
Verify customer eligibility when selling alcoholic beverages
Provide friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous assistance to customers
Load customer purchases by assisting customers to their vehicles when requested
Perform basic bookkeeping duties
Record lost/damaged goods and store supplies using appropriate tools
