Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in instructional design and development or related field, preferably in finance or banking environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency with LMS platforms and eLearning authoring tools (including Storyline, SnagIt, Photoshop, Microsoft Product Suite, Camtasia, Adobe Product Suite including Captivate, etc.) preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to design learning solutions across multiple modalities, including self-paced and instructor-led formats.
  • Comfort with public speaking, instructional communication, and facilitating or supporting live training sessions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and apply new software platforms, products, and business concepts.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience documenting instructional design processes and maintaining organized development records.
  • Demonstrated experience with a portfolio showcasing instructional design work, creativity, and technical proficiency across multiple learning formats.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team leads, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather learning requirements and define training objectives.
  • Translate complex financial concepts, products, and regulatory information into clear, concise, and engaging learning experiences.
  • Ensure learning solutions are practical, field-relevant, and aligned with advisor and firm needs.
  • Adhere to instructional design standards, templates, and guidance established by Learning & Development leadership
  • Design and develop engaging, interactive learning content using a variety of instructional strategies and authoring tools.
  • Create and maintain instructional materials across multiple modalities, including eLearning, instructor-led training (ILT), microlearning, simulations, job aids, and performance support tools.
  • Incorporate real-world financial scenarios, case studies, and role-based activities to drive relevance and application.
  • Apply adult learning principles, learning science, and modern design practices to improve learner engagement and retention.
  • Deliver, support, or co-facilitate virtual instructor-led training sessions for advisors, firms, and internal stakeholders.
  • Train and instruct advisors and firm audiences on learning content, tools, processes, and products.
  • Partner with facilitators and business leaders to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of learning experiences.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable learning partner who can confidently communicate, present, and engage live audiences.
  • Collect learner feedback and performance data to assess training effectiveness.
  • Update learning content to reflect regulatory changes, product enhancements, Mariner policies, and industry best practices.
  • Document development processes and maintain comprehensive development and revision records.
