About The Position

The Denver County Court (DCC) is seeking an Associate IT Systems Administrator to join their specialized team. This role involves providing help desk support, taking on technology projects to advance IT infrastructure, configuring and managing enterprise technologies, maintaining hardware and software, setting up technology for meetings, collaborating with other teams, managing user accounts, and monitoring logs and performance. The position also includes being on call 24/7 in a rotation schedule. The IT Department team utilizes an agile development methodology and strives to create a culture of open communication, goal orientation, and results, supporting each other in a fun environment.

Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate effectively and be open to new technology and innovative ideas
  • Strong PowerShell command-line interfaces and Cisco experience
  • Background in Systems Administration using Windows desktop and server operating systems
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and Office 365
  • Desire to always learn and improve
  • Bring fresh ideas and technology to improve Court technology
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Mathematics or a directly related field
  • Three (3) years of professional Information Technology experience installing, maintaining, and/or modifying application software, operating system and/or network operating system software and associated hardware
  • One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education
  • A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Cybersecurity, intrusion detection, and firewall knowledge a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide help desk support to Denver County Court staff including Judges and Magistrates, troubleshooting issues remotely and in-person
  • Take on various technology projects to advance Court IT infrastructure
  • Configure and manage enterprise technologies including network, infrastructure, web hosting, cryptography, operation systems and applications
  • Maintain hardware and software patch management and inventory
  • Set up technology requirements for presentations and meetings
  • Maintain professional audio/video equipment
  • Collaborate with other teams throughout the Court
  • Manage user accounts
  • Monitor logs and performance on servers and networks
  • Be on call 24/7 in a rotation schedule shared with other members of the team
