About The Position

Financial Technology Partners is seeking Full-Time Investment Banking Associates to begin in July 2027 in San Francisco. Financial Technology Partners is a successful boutique investment bank headquartered in San Francisco with offices in NYC and London. We specialize in the high-growth Financial Technology sector, offering merger and acquisition advisory, private capital raising, and capital markets advisory. FT Partners is a global firm of over 200 employees with a collegial and energetic culture, expecting meaningful contributions from every team member. Senior bankers have prior experience at firms like Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Evercore, and Barclays. The firm operates on a hybrid work model, with three days in the office and two days remote.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a top-tier business school, graduating by summer of 2027.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.5.
  • Proven capability to lead and manage projects effectively.
  • Exceptional organizational, execution, and time management skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to interact at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent presentation skills, adaptable to both large and small group settings.
  • Strategic thinker with robust analytical capabilities.
  • Proven quantitative and technical expertise, proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, ready to tackle complex tasks and challenges.
  • Strong work ethic, self-discipline, and motivation.

Responsibilities

  • Play a pivotal role in originating and executing live transactions.
  • Conduct extensive financial modeling and analysis.
  • Perform company valuation.
  • Conduct corporate and industry research.
  • Provide strategic analysis and recommendations.
  • Identify business development opportunities.
  • Manage due diligence processes.
  • Prepare client presentation materials.
  • Identify potential corporate and financial sponsors, buyers, and investors.
  • Work closely with senior investment bankers.
  • Manage day-to-day deal activities.
  • Oversee and mentor analysts.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to Analysts.
  • Actively participate in the recruitment, training, and professional development of Analysts.
