About The Position

This position has a target start date of Summer 2027. As an Associate Intern, you will be assigned to work on a project team and assist the project controls and project management team members in the execution of their project work. This includes, but is not limited to, project scheduling, cost tracking, progress monitoring, and project/portfolio reporting for power-related engineering projects. You will utilize and expand your academic background in project controls and project management tools and methodologies. The ideal candidate is eager to learn new skills and develop knowledge to make a valuable impact on project team operations and is willing to engage with others to understand project team needs.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree with a strong academic background, preferably with an emphasis in Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, or General Engineering, or equivalent degree.
  • Enrollment in an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Self-Starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines.
  • Working knowledge in MS Office tools, with emphasis on MS Excel in creating and maintaining detailed, interactive spreadsheets, workbooks, and databases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to interact and multitask with project team members, clients, and vendors of varying position levels.
  • We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior related internship, co-op, or work experience, which includes project controls, project planning, project scheduling, and earned value performance.
  • Familiarity with scheduling software, preferably Primavera P6.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community.
  • Interest in learning and effectively using emerging technologies where relevant to their role.
  • Experience with AI, automation, programming, or similar technologies is valued where relevant.
