About The Position

L3Harris is seeking an Associate Systems Integration/Test Engineer for a direct-hire position at its facility in Waco, Texas. The Test Engineer performs systems engineering test tasks associated with aircraft modernization, maintenance, and the integration and testing of new aircraft systems. The role supports software quality, avionics and mission-system integration, and system verification across multiple assigned platforms. The work schedule is 9/80.

Requirements

• Be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or have completed a Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months; this qualification applies regardless of age.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute software quality methods, processes, and standards to support consistent product performance and compliance.
• Implement tests, methods, and procedures that support continuous improvement of software quality assurance processes.
• Support development and integration of avionics, communications, and mission systems across assigned platforms.
• Author detailed test procedures and perform System Operation and Verification Testing (SOVT) for avionics, communications, cockpit systems, special mission systems, and navigation equipment.
• Use standard and advanced electronic test equipment and test-related software for system integration and verification.
• Support future business opportunities, including avionics systems development and integration for military applications.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to customers, subcontractors, and internal and external stakeholders.
• Apply basic electrical theory and electronic test equipment to test RF systems and mixed-signal products.
• Read and interpret block diagrams, wiring diagrams, and circuit schematics to troubleshoot and isolate component- and system-level malfunctions.
