About The Position

Simpson Strong-Tie is hiring a full-time, non-exempt Associate Inside Sales Representative in Columbus, Ohio. The role supports customers by responding to customer problems and requests, processing orders, providing pricing and ship-date information, and learning company products to answer customer questions. The representative answers queue calls, enters orders into the computer, and provides technical help when able. The position ordinarily does not require travel, though travel may arise for training. Relocation is not available.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, MS Word, and similar computer programs.
Reliable and punctual attendance.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, percentages, and decimal equivalents.
Ability to read and write simple correspondence and follow instructions.
Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to quickly and effectively solve customer problems.
Ability to communicate one-on-one, in small groups, and in a team atmosphere.

Customer service experience.
