About The Position

Webflow is seeking an Associate Infrastructure Engineer to enhance the reliability and stability of its customer-facing production infrastructure, which handles millions of page views per hour. The role involves ensuring the platform is secure and scalable for over 2 million users worldwide across 190 countries, with tens of thousands of new projects launched monthly. This is a remote-first position based in the United States or Canada (BC & ON). The role is full-time, permanent, and exempt. Compensation is structured into geographic zones (Zone A, B, C in the US and a range for Canada) and is based on location, experience, and qualifications. The position is also eligible for Webflow's company-wide bonus program, with target amounts varying by career level and dependent on company performance.

Requirements

BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
Background as an ops engineer with growing interest in code, or a software engineer background with growing interest in systems and infrastructure.
2+ years of experience operating or debugging distributed systems in a production environment.
Comfortable working in at least one major cloud provider (AWS or GCP) and want to go deeper.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes workloads, and ideally exposure to GitOps tools like ArgoCD or Argo Rollouts.
Used an observability stack (e.g., Datadog, OpenTelemetry) to debug production issues like writing dashboards, alerts, or traces, not just reading them.
Used at least one infrastructure-as-code tool (Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, or similar) and want to build fluency.
Can read and modify application code to help debug issues, even if you're not a full-stack engineer.
Willing to participate in an on-call rotation and follow incident management processes.
Stay curious and open to growth — demonstrating a proactive embrace of AI, and actively building and applying fluency in emerging technologies to elevate how we work, drive faster outcomes, and expand collective impact.

Responsibilities

Empower engineers on other teams to take control of their services by maintaining monitoring tooling and collaborating on internal best practices for observability.
Enhance reliability of applications running in Kubernetes by optimizing resource allocation, streamlining upgrade processes, and ensuring scalability and fault tolerance.
Occasionally dive into the main Webflow application in Node, Python, or Go to better discern (and sometimes fix) behavior in production.
Work with peers on Webflow’s Customer Support, Partnerships, and Sales teams to enable customers using Webflow’s services in production.
Participate in and continuously improve on-call and incident response processes.
