About The Position

Duke University School of Medicine, established in 1930, is a highly-ranked institution known for its inclusive community of learners, investigators, clinicians, and staff. Duke Health, comprising the School of Medicine, School of Nursing, and Duke University Health System, is a world-class academic medical center with multiple hospitals and care facilities. The Associate in Research role is for individuals with academic credentials but without a doctorate, who are not degree candidates. This position supports faculty research programs by directly participating in research or organizing research activities. This classification is administered through the Office of the Provost on Campus and the Office of the Chancellor for Health Affairs in the Medical Center, and is not subject to the Wage and Salary system.

Requirements

  • Academic credentials but without a doctorate and not a degree candidate.
  • Assists faculty members in research programs by participating in the research directly or in organizing a program under which the research is carried out.
